About Me
So what are you even doing here?
This blog isn't really about nudism. It's about coffee, gardening, home projects, books, and whatever hobby I pick up along the way. It just happens that I might be nude.
Hopefully this serves as a vessel for normalizing nudity, showing that nudity isn't inherently sexual, while giving me a space to write about things I enjoy. If you're not familiar with non-sexual nudity, there are a few different mentalities around it. Checkout Nudism Naturism Topfreedom. That being said, I tend to use Nudist and Naturist interchangeably for convenience. If I'm being honest though, I prefer to consider myself nude-positive. No health ideology tied to it, no belief that everyone should be nude all the time. I'm just generally okay with nudity.
How did I get here?
Around 2020 I discovered there was a large global community of social nudists and naturists — up until then I had peacefully enjoyed home nudity without knowing there were any labels for what I was doing. By 2024 I had decided AANR was worth supporting and tried to sign up for a membership. That's when I first encountered just how outdated nudist websites were. I documented my frustration across a few Reddit threads, but by the third post I realized Reddit wasn't the right platform for what I was trying to say.
So I reached out directly to a few organizations, sharing website redesign concepts and offering my expertise as a software engineer. I spent weeks building out ideas, but the timing wasn't right for anyone involved.
I took that as a signal to shift focus. I started subscribing to and supporting creators making nudist content, and around this time I also read everything I could find about the history of the nudist movement. Now I am diving into my own content, seeing how much of the community I can collaborate with and keep the momentum going!
So who am I?
You may be wondering. Good. For now I have decided to go by the pseudonym "beardednudist" because, well, I have a beard. I do believe that people in the nudist community should strive to be as transparent and real as possible, so the best I can do for now is promise that if I ever gain any recognition in the community, I will do a reveal. For now I want to keep this project low stakes and as private as possible.
